Mr Ganesan qualified in 1999 and started his orthopaedic training in 2000, gaining many years of experience in Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgery. Having received training both in India and the United Kingdom, he was awarded two best outgoing student awards and has completed master’s degrees in orthopaedic surgery with distinctions.
He completed his Fellowship in Spinal Surgery at Southampton and joined the Orthopaedic department of the East Sussex Healthcare Trust in 2015 as a Consultant in Orthopaedic Surgery with a special interest in Spinal Surgery.
His commitments include providing emergency trauma care to injured patients in the emergency setting and offering indicated surgical fixation of fractures including hip replacements. He is involved in the training of trainee surgeons and has been an instructor on the advanced trauma and life support programme.
